ChildFund Deutschland in Burkina Faso

Since September 2011, ChildFund Deutschland has been working in Burkina Faso with a furnace construction and environmental protection project that offers young men and women real career prospects and at the same time sensitizes them to the protection of natural resources.

For many families in Burkina Faso, collecting and selling firewood is the only way to make a little money. However, the harvesting of trees and shrubs has a negative impact on the environment. Our project enables 160 young men and women to take part in the development of energy-saving ovens, along with providing marketing skills training.
