Cameroon, in Central Africa, enjoys a wealth of natural resources. However, the resulting wealth does not benefit the entire population, which remains very poor.
Un Enfant par la Main (as Enfants Sans Frontières) has been working in Cameroon since 1979. Initially, it transported children suffering from serious illnesses to France for surgery.
Since 1993, ESF has focused on education and training, supporting two specialized schools, one for children with hearing disabilities in Yaoundé and, since 2016, the Club of Young Blind People in Cameroon.
