ChildFund Deutschland in Mozambique

ChildFund Deutschland provides 40 young people in Mozambique with a 12-month training project to become a professional beekeeper – and thus escape long-term poverty.

Our focus is on girls and young women. Trainees learn how to raise bees, harvest honey and process the beeswax, as well as how to market their wares. They receive basic bee-keeping equipment.

They also participate in savings groups, which provide start-up capital is built up. In addition, they are familiarized with the principle of saving and learn how to deal with money in a responsible way: a crucial prerequisite for successful business success.
