ChildFund Vietnam works in three northern provinces – Bac Kan, Cao Bang and Hoa Binh – where the majority of people are from ethnic minority groups. The geographical location of these communities, in remote and difficult to access mountainous areas, contributes greatly to the high rates of poverty. Reaching these areas is challenging but also critical to improve the lives of these children and their families, who are among the most vulnerable and marginalised people in Vietnam. ChildFund’s programs focus on five main areas of education, water and sanitation, livelihoods, health and child protection, with a strong emphasis on child rights and participation through activities like children’s clubs.
